Interior Design
Interior Design Services are offered at an hourly rate of $75. New client interior design services require a 10 hour minimum.
Contractor Remodeling
Kade Laws Interior Design is a licensed contractor through the Alabama Home Builders Licensure Board, member of the Baldwin County Home Builders Association, holds active local business licenses and carries General Liability Insurance. Our contract services are billed based on a “Cost Plus” percentage of the Total Project Remodel Cost which includes contract labor, materials, fees, and required permits. Design Services are billed separately at the rate of $60 per hour.
New Construction & Remodel Design Plans
Design Plan services for Remodeling and New Construction are billed at the hourly rate of $60. Design planning removes the stress of remodeling and/or building, ensures the flow of color schematics and materials, and keeps the project within budget. The design process happens before any of the work begins so everything is in place from materials to subcontractors to project cost. There is a 10 hour minimum for Remodel Design Planning and a 25 hour minimum for New Construction Design Planning.
Initial Consultation
There is no charge for Initial Consultations (up to 1 hour). Services are billed at the hourly rate of $75 thereafter and payment is due at time of service for all consultations and correspondence relating to your project.

Do you offer free estimates?
Unfortunately no. An initial project estimate ranges from $150 to $300. If you decide to proceed with our services, a credit for the initial estimate will be applied to your Contract Invoice.
How much does a design plan cost?
Design plan services are billed at the hourly rate of $60. The average cost for a single room remodel design plan is approximately 10-20 hours. New construction and full home remodel design planning averages 25-50 hours. Please note, these are examples based on previous projects and can vary greatly depending on the scope of design work to be completed.
What do hourly charges include?
Design services are billed on an hourly basis which includes travel time, design consultations, sourcing, organization of final selections /materials, and scheduling. Hourly charges are billed for each moment spent working on the project to include client/ subcontractor meetings, phone calls, emails, text messages, shopping, installation, etc.
The Initial Project Estimate will include adequate design time for all of the above design plan needs; however, should multiple changes or additions to the project occur, additional time will be required and a change order will be issued.
What methods of payment are accepted?
Payments may be made by cash, or check, or bank transfer. We also accept Credit Cards; however, a 4.5% convenience fee will be applied for payments made by Credit Card.
